Welllll!! Haven't posted in quite some time and I keep having people tell me to update something so here goes...
I am currently in Lindale Texas at the Mercy Ships IOC (International Operation Center) where I'm attending a class called IMS (Introduction to Mercy Ships). We've been learning a lot about the history of Mercy Ships and I've met several people who will be serving with me on-board the ship! The training program (Gateway) starts tomorrow and it's going to be non-stop from here on out. I am very excited and blessed to have been given this opportunity to learn and grow and push myself for my Savior.
God just keeps showing me that this is the place where He wants me! One specific experience I had happened a couple of days ago. I had a sudden and distinct memory of a time in California when I was volunteering at JH Ranch. I asked a couple of the prayer warriors there to pray with me, just about my future and life in general. Before I went to see them the Lord gave me a picture of a creek. I thought nothing of it and just moved on with my thoughts. :) Wellll after a bit of talk and some wonderful prayer we had a discussion about what the Lord had shown these two ladies. God had given them both a picture of water and they both believed that it would be in my future...well lo and behold a year and a half later I'm going overseas to serve onboard a ship in the OCEAN. This is an amazing picture to me of how big my God is! I saw a creek and He brought me to an Ocean :)
I was floored!! The Lord astounded me with how His plans are completely and 100% greater than I could ever imagine! He showed me a year and a half ago just a little bit about what He had for me, yet I could never have imagined that THIS is what He wanted! I am SO very excited for what God has planned for me, as His plan is OBVIOUSLY so much greater than I could ever imagine! :) Be encouraged. His time does not always match ours and yet He prepares each of us for exactly what we need!
